BASS.IC returns with more High Energy Dance in the Howler theatre

Bass.ic returns October 25th for our most anticipated party yet, taking over Howler’s theatre room. Leading the charge are Black Dave and Sean Drinan, alongside a hand-picked lineup of local heavyweights serving raw, rave-fuelled, high energy dance sounds from start to finish. Expect an explosive set from Black Dave, whose versatility shines , where he is constantly blending in various styles and BPMs, from new and old sounds. He takes musical inspiration from a diverse array of styles so be sure to expect a bit of everything from him.

This one is built for the dancers — no distractions, just a finely tuned system, a packed room, and selectors who know exactly how to work it. Capacity is limited and tickets are moving quickly. Arrive early, stay late, and lose yourself in the sound. See you in the dance

So lock in, Virtual Riot is one of the most respected producers worldwide and is considered one of the most prominent figure heads in the dubstep scene. He is known for his genre defining sound design, dynamic production style, dedication to education, and his exceptional audio-visual shows.

He is currently touring a live keyboard and audio-visual show around the US on his Stealing Fire tour and we’ve been lucky enough to take care of the Melbourne leg of his World Tour.

Stranger Cole is, simply put, a giant of Reggae. He is one of the most important living links to the birth of the Jamaican sound with a career full of hits spanning all eras beginning with the proto-Ska “Rough and Tough” for Duke Reid in 1962. His mid-sixties rocksteady duets with Patsy Todd and Gladdy Anderson, respectively, are considered to be a high point of the genre. In 1968, Stranger Cole’s “Bangarang” with its choppy keyboard and one-drop drumming marked the beginning of a new sound, Reggae.

Stranger Cole’s voice is distinctive, but his live performances are equally famous. Irrepressibly happy with boundless energy belying his 84 years on the planet, he connects with the audience like very few can.

By popular demand, Stranger Cole returns to Australia to perform the ska, rocksteady and reggae songs that have made him a living legend…

As he says; “MORE LIFE!”
